I have created a number of public art pieces working with community groups, charities and local authorities. It is very satisfying to start with a basic idea, add my own interpretation and create a work of art to enhance an area or building. I love the grand openings and opportunities for public engagement. People are amazed by what they can achieve together.
The village had a large sculpture of a bear but no one knew why.
Something was needed to explain the story of the bear.
This triptych explains the myth of the Hugglescote bear. Artist in residence. Created 2015 with those who called in to see me work.
Commissioned as a community project to accompany an archaeological dig to find original fish ponds. Created summer 2016. The mosaic stands on the Ashby Bath Grounds, Ashby de la Zouch. Thanks to Di Lorriman for outlining the fish!

Telling the story of a proud oak tree no longer standing. Objects surrounding the tree tell their own stories. Made as an intergenerational project. Funded by a Leics Police initiative. 2014. Stands in Donington le Heath.
Accompanies and explains a silver tree standing in the village of Hugglescote. Created in 2013 with children from the local school.
Created during winter 2016/7 for the Cotswold Hare Festival. Sponsored by Tanner's Solicitors, Cirencester. He stands outside their offices until Sept after which he will be auctioned for charity.
